Welcome

This is the electronic application for free and reduced price meals for the USDA National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs.

Before you start

  • If you received a letter saying your students are directly certified for free meals, you do not need to complete this application unless the letter is missing a student in your household.
  • Use one application for all students in your household who attend the selected school district.
  • Eligibility may be based on assistance program participation, foster/homeless/migrant/runaway status, household size, and income.
  • Gross income means money earned or received before deductions such as taxes and insurance premiums.
  • Your citizenship or immigration status does not affect eligibility for free or reduced price school meals.

You can also review the Income Eligibility Guidelines before applying.

Things you may need
  • SNAP, TANF, or FDPIR case numbers for anyone in your household who participates in those programs.
  • Names, schools, and grades for students in your household.
  • Current gross income amounts and how often each amount is received.
  • Pay stubs, benefit statements, or other records that help you report current income accurately.
  • The last four digits of the signing adult's Social Security number, or confirmation that the signing adult has no Social Security number.

You may print and complete the paper application and return it to your school district.
